Mr. Leye Ajayi

Mr Leye Ajayi is a Consultant Urological Surgeon and Clinical Lead for Urology at the Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust. He specialises in minimally invasive surgery for urinary tract stone disease, with expertise in Holmium laser technology. He was awarded an MD degree from University College London for his research into the molecular biology of prostate cancer. Mr Ajayi offers contemporary, cutting-edge minimally invasive treatment for benign prostatic enlargement, including Aquablation therapy. He presents nationally and internationally on behalf of Procept BioRobotics and is one of a small number of Urologists in the UK selected by the company to educate other specialists in Aquablation therapy. He serves as the Principal Investigator at the Royal Free Hospital for the landmark WATER IV Prostate Cancer trial, comparing Aquablation therapy with robotic radical prostatectomy for the treatment of localised prostate cancer. He is the Course Director of an international masterclass in complex stone disease, with extensive experience in performing percutaneous nephrolithotomy (PCNL) in the supine position. Mr Ajayi is an Associate Member of both the European Association of Urology Section of Endourology (EAU-Endourology) and the European School of Urology (ESU). He frequently teaches and performs live surgery across Europe and beyond, demonstrating state-of-the-art endourological techniques and technology. His international activity fosters close collaboration with global key opinion leaders, ensuring that his clinical practice remains at the forefront of innovation. Mr Ajayi is active academically and educationally. He has served as a moderator for the Journal of Endourology podcast series on stone disease and is a faculty member of the SIU Grand Rounds on controversies in urinary stone management. He is a peer reviewer for the American Journal of Urology and the British Journal of Urology International (BJUi), and sits on the editorial board of the World Journal of Urology.
