Prof Ben Turney is an Associate Professor at the University of Oxford and Consultant Urological Surgeon in Oxford. Ben has a subspeciality interest in endourology - treating patients with minimally invasive procedures done with small scopes rather than open incisions. He provides a comprehensive service to manage kidney stones and benign enlargement of the prostate. In the management of kidney stones he offers shockwave lithotripsy (regional service), ureteroscopy and laser stone ablation and PCNL (percutaneous nephrolithotomy) for large stones (>2cm). In his management of benign prostate enlargement, he offers a number of procedures including Urolift, Rezum, Aquablation and bipolar TURP. Prof Turney runs an active research group and has supervised 9 DPhil students and 11 endourology fellows in Oxford on a variety of academic and clinical projects. He has been involved as the local lead for a number of national clincial trials.
