Mr. Wissam Abou-Chedid

Mr. Wissam Abou-Chedid is a Consultant Urological Surgeon with a specialist focus on minimally invasive treatments for benign prostatic enlargement (BPE) and prostate cancer. He is recognised for his expertise in advanced surgical techniques, including Aquablation, Echolaser, Rezum, and robotic simple prostatectomy, offering patients effective treatment with reduced recovery times and improved functional outcomes. He completed his medical degree at the University of Saint Joseph in Beirut, followed by specialist urology training at Henry Mondor University Hospital in Paris. He subsequently undertook fellowships in minimally invasive and robotic surgery at the Saint Augustin Clinic in Bordeaux and at the Royal Surrey NHS Foundation Trust in Guildford. Since his consultant appointment at the Royal Surrey, Mr. Abou-Chedid has developed a high-volume practice in robotic prostate cancer surgery and minimally invasive BPE treatments. He has performed over 800 robotic procedures and is among the highest-volume Retzius-sparing robotic prostatectomy surgeons in Europe. Through a combination of technical expertise and commitment to innovation, Mr. Abou-Chedid delivers modern, evidence-based care for men with Benign prostate enlargement and prostate cancer. His practice is defined by innovation, efficiency, and a strong patient-centred approach.
