Mr. Sanjay Rajpal

A consultant urologist with two decades of experience — and care delivered with skill. Mr Sanjay Rajpal is a Consultant Urological Surgeon at Airedale NHS Foundation Trust and Honorary Senior Lecturer at the University of Sheffield. He began his consultant career at Sheffield Teaching Hospitals in 2017 and now leads BPH services in his trust. Sanjay completed his medical training at TN Dr MGR Medical University, Chennai — graduating with a University Gold Medal in Surgery — before undertaking urology training across Surrey, Stoke-on-Trent, Stockport and Yorkshire. He gained further specialist experience under Dr Mahesh Desai in Nadiad, India, and was awarded "Best Junior Doctor" by the NHS during his training. Beyond the operating theatre, he is co-chair of the BPH working group in WYAAT, chair of the Yorkshire Urology Audit Group, and module lead on the National Urology Simulation Boot Camp — work that has shaped how the next generation of UK urologists is trained.
