Mr. Jacques Roux

Mr. Jacques Roux
I am a dedicated urologist specialising in minimally invasive surgery and the diagnosis and treatment of bladder related symptoms. With over 10 years of experience I have dedicated my career to advancing urological health and improving patient outcomes through innovative treatment approaches. I completed my medical degree in South Africa, followed by a residency in Namibia and Western Cape. I developed an interest in Urology while working at Guys and St Thomas' Hospital where I was an investigator for the use of botulinum toxin in the bladder where we focused on the intricate mechanisms and management of underlying overactive bladder symptoms. I am a leading practitioner of Holmium Laser Enucleation of the Prostate (HoLEP), a procedure that provides a precise and effective treatment for enlarged prostate symptoms. Additionally, I am skilled in Aquablation therapy, a minimally invasive procedure that uses water jet technology to remove prostate tissue causing obstruction. At the heart of my practice is commitment to patient-centered care. I work closely with each patient to develop personalised treatment plans and address their specific needs and improve their quality of life. My approach combines cutting-edge technology with compassionate care, ensuring that patients receive the most effective and least invasive treatments available.
