Clarissa Martyn-Hemphill

Clarissa Martyn-Hemphill is a Consultant Urologist at Guy’s Hospital in London, with clinical and research experience in the assessment and management of benign prostate and lower urinary tract conditions. She graduated with Honours from the University of Leeds in 2011, before undertaking Foundation, surgical and urological training in South London. Miss Martyn-Hemphill has a specialist interest in Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia, having trained under Mr Rick Popert at Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Hospital Trust in her final year of training. She is a high volume Aquablation surgeon nationally (>100 cases). She offers a holistic, patient-centred approach to assessment and treatment of male lower urinary tract symptoms, with a focus on safety, quality of life, and functional outcomes. Her clinical interests in addition to Aquablation include: HoLEP, as well as modern minimally invasive treatment pathways for benign prostatic enlargement. She has also been involved in research evaluating innovative service models and emerging surgical technologies, including Aquablation therapy, supporting evidence-based improvements in patient outcomes and care delivery.
