Mr. Fahd Khan

Mr Fahd Khan is a leading Consultant Urologist in Birmingham based at Midland Metropolitan University Hospital. His specialist expertise includes the diagnosis and management of benign prostatic enlargement (BPH), alongside Endourology, Holmium Laser Enucleation of the Prostate (HoLEP), stone disease, and men’s health. Mr Khan played a pivotal role in establishing the Aquablation HYDROS service in Birmingham, making it the first centre in the West Midlands to provide this innovative treatment within the NHS. Mr Khan completed his urological training through the Yorkshire rotation and was awarded the prestigious British Association of Urological Surgeons and World Congress of EndoUrology Fellowship. As part of this fellowship, he travelled to Guangzhou, China, where he gained advanced training in the minimally invasive surgical management of complex stone disease. Alongside his subspecialist interests, Mr Khan has extensive experience in the assessment and treatment of both general and malignant urological conditions. He manages patients presenting with a broad spectrum of symptoms, including lower urinary tract symptoms (LUTS), urinary tract infections (UTIs), testicular pain and lumps, haematuria, haematospermia, urinary incontinence, and erectile dysfunction. He also provides prostate health assessments for asymptomatic men concerned about prostate cancer. Mr Khan is dedicated to delivering compassionate, patient-centred care, with a strong emphasis on clear communication and evidence-based treatment strategies. He advocates a shared decision-making approach, combining clinical expertise with the individual preferences and values of each patient. An active contributor to academic urology, Mr Khan currently serves as an Honorary Associate Clinical Professor at the University of Birmingham. He has published extensively in international peer-reviewed journals, authored three book chapters, and presented more than 50 abstracts at leading national and international conferences, including those organised by the British Association of Urological Surgeons, Royal Society of Medicine, American Urological Association, European Association of Urology, and the World Congress of Endourology.
