Jamison Jaffe, D.O. joins the staff at Penn Medicine in Princeton as an accomplished urologic surgeon specializing in complex robotic and minimally invasive surgery for benign and cancerous urologic conditions. Dr. Jaffe completed fellowship training in advanced laparoscopic and robotic urologic surgery at the prestigious L’Institut Mutualiste Montsouris in Paris, France where the laparoscopic prostatectomy was pioneered. He completed residency in general surgery and urologic surgery at the Albert Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia. He was named chief resident and Urology Resident of the Year in his final year of training. Board certified by the American Board of Osteopathic Surgery, Dr. Jaffe is an extensively published researcher and experienced presenter on complex laparoscopic and robotic surgeries at national and international conferences. For multiple years, Dr. Jaffe has been recognized nationally as a “Top Doc” in U.S. News and World Report, “Top Doctor in Urologic Surgery” by Philadelphia Magazine and a regional “Top Doctor” by Castle Connolly. Dr. Jaffe has previously served as the Urology Chair at St. Mary Medical Center and the Director of Minimally Invasive and Robotic Urologic Surgery at Hahnemann University Hospital and Drexel University College of Medicine. Dr. Jaffe has extensive experience in the field of Urologic Oncology. His focus of expertise is in the diagnosis, evaluation and minimally invasive and robotic treatments of urologic cancers including prostate, bladder, kidney, ureter, adrenal, and testicle cancers. He is among the most experienced urologists in the region using robotic technology to perform complex surgical procedures to help patients preserve their quality of life and live longer with less long term side effects from treatment. Dr. Jaffe also has a strong passion in the minimally invasive treatment of kidney stone disease and benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH). He offers all of the latest minimally invasive treatment available for these benign conditions. His minimally invasive surgeries offer patients the benefits of reduced pain, smaller sometimes no incisions, less blood loss, and quicker recovery times.
