Dr. Syed completed his Bachelor’s of Science in Biochemistry at McGil University in 2010, graduating with distinction. He went on to obtain his medical degree from the State University of New York graduating in 2014 Magna Cum Laude and was named to the Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society. He completed his surgery and urology residency in 2020 at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. His expertise include minimally invasive robotic surgery for urologic cancers, prosthetics for male incontinence and erectile dysfunction, sacral neuromodulation for overactive bladder, lithotripsy for kidney stones, and various BPH procedures including laser prostatectomy, robotic prostatectomy, urolift, and aquablation. Dr. Syed is in the forefront of advancing technology in Urology. He is one of the first Urologists in Western Florida to perform aquablation. He believes aquablation therapy provides dramatic improvement in BPH symptoms by combining real time imaging with robotic execution for patients suffering from BPH. Dr. Syed believes in conservative therapy as first line, only using surgical therapy as last resort. Dr. Syed looks forward in developing a strong doctor-patient relationship with collaborative decision making with his patients.
