Dr. Akhil Saji

Dr. Saji is a fellowship-trained urologic surgeon in urologic oncology. His practice consists primarily of the treatment of prostate cancer, kidney cancer, bladder cancer, and other urologic cancers as well as the treatment of benign diseases such as benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH). In addition to traditional robotic surgery, Dr Saji is uniquely experienced in the Seattle metropolitan area in single incision (da Vinci single port) robotic surgery to treat these conditions. He routinely performs robotic prostatectomy, robotic partial nephrectomy, robotic cystectomy and other procedures. In Aquablation therapy, Dr. Saji has unique expertise due to training personally under one of the founders of the technology, Mihir Desai, with whom he performed over 100 Aquablation therapy cases during fellowship training. Dr Saji brings this expertise in Aquablation therapy to Seattle through his practice at Swedish Urology. Dr Saji has a special interest in counseling patients regarding all the possible treatment options for BPH including Aquablation therapy and will help craft a tailored treatment plan for you.
